The Malaysian Piano Competition (MPC), is a joint initiative inaugurated in 2018 by the Euroasia Association of Performing Arts (Euroasia) and the Malaysian Youth Orchestra Foundation (MYOF). Comprising regional piano festivals serving as the Preliminary Round, winners from these regions will have the opportunity to take up an additional challenge and achieve a higher level of musical performance through the national-level Finals.
With the surge of music competitions organized by many other organizations over the last few years, Euroasia and MYOF recognize that collaboration among different establishments is essential to provide a high-quality and fair platform for performance and opportunity for recognition.
Euroasia and MYOF’s first partnership in 2017 was a move forward to encourage collaboration between organisations with similar objectives—to provide more music students with performance opportunities and improve their performance standards.
As a result of our efforts to encourage higher standards in performing skills and recognize the achievements of winning participants in the various regions, Euroasia and MYOF joined hands to initiate the first national-level Malaysian Piano Competition in 2018.

In 2025, Harmonia Music Event Organizer partnered with the Malaysian Piano Competition (MPC) as the official Indonesian representative to host the Jakarta Preliminary Round of the Euroasia Malaysian Piano Competition. This collaboration aims to expand the competition’s reach and create more opportunities for talented young pianists in Indonesia to showcase their skills on an international platform. By establishing an official presence in Indonesia, the Jakarta Preliminary Round is set to offer a fresh and professional competition experience, ensuring fair and equal access for participants from across the country to compete at an international standard.
The Gold Winners from each category in the Jakarta Preliminary Round will have the opportunity to advance to the final round in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 13 and 14 December 2025.
